Weekend Recap - Gender Reveal

Wow. I don't even know where to start on this weekend! It was beyond great! I'm still on Cloud 9 after finding out Baby K's gender on Saturday!

WEDNESDAY:
I know this isn't exactly the weekend, but I had to throw it in because it was a fun date night! If you remember, my Christmas present from Will this past year was tickets to 3 shows at the Orpheum. (We went to the first one in February and I will have to say that this one was so much more enjoyable being in the second trimester! No nausea and I can stay up past 7:00pm!) We saw Memphis this time and loved it! Very appropriate being that we live in Memphis!

THURSDAY:
Our 16 week appointment - aka THE gender appointment! I was so excited about this...but also a little nervous that they wouldn't be able to tell what the gender was 100%. Luckily, they had no problem with it because Baby K was moving and kicking around like crazy! We had the sonographer put the gender in an envelope so we could take it to Kelly to prepare for the big surprise at Saturday's party. (And no, we didn't find out before everyone else. Kelly..and the sonographer...were the ONLY people who knew the gender!)

THE envelope. It sure was tempting to peek!..which is why it went STRAIGHT to Kelly's house after we left the appointment!

We had to celebrate with my first official pregnancy craving. Chick-fil-A ice cream.

My all-time fav ultrasound picture! Baby K says HI!!

 FRIDAY:
For some reason, I think that Will's book about my pregnancy is more interesting than my books about pregnancy!

We went on a double date with Nate and Roxanna to Range USA. They have a special where you can have dinner, get 2 boxes of ammo and use the range for $50. (Don't worry, I made sure it was safe to shoot while being preggo. No harm done to Baby!)

SATURDAY:
The big day! In an effort to not make this post any longer than it already is, I'm going to do a separate gender reveal party post tomorrow. There's so much I want to say!
BUT...if you haven't seen what we're having yet, check out the video!

SUNDAY:
We go to Island Community Church based off of Mud Island in Memphis. Yesterday we were able to have worship right on the river and it was awesome! The only thing that would have made it better was a little sunshine! After worship, we had a crawfish and BBQ picnic. So fun! If you live on the island or anywhere downtown, please come visit us!

What a view, right?!

Amanda even brought Bentley to worship with us! He was such a good boy!

What a weekend! I can't wait to share details of our party with you tomorrow!

Sundrop Soulmates

Hope everyone had a great Halloween!

Last night we went to ICC's Fall Fest on the island. I helped with face painting. There were moon bounces, games and lots of food! We love our church and our community. We had a blast!

Weekend Recap

I hope everyone had a great weekend! We sure did!

Friday:

After work Friday, I was greeted at the front door by this sweet face. Then we went to dinner with my family (minus my youngest bro, Colin). I love spending time with them!

Saturday:

We slept in! It was great! I can't remember the last time I slept until 10! It was some much-needed beauty rest! Once we finally got up and going, we took Remi to the vet to get his yearly vaccines and ran some errands.
We went to Target--a dangerous place to go when you don't want to spend a lot of money. I could spend hours in there. We did treat ourselves to some goodies though. I got some new shoes and a scarf and Will got 2 shirts.

I was pretty excited about this find. I had seen the ones below on Pinterest and I'll just say those were out of my price range. The pair I bought from Target were only $20! The pair below is around $150 from Saks Fifth Avenue. Oh yeah!

When we got home Saturday evening from running errands, poor little Remi wasn't feeling well. I think he had a reaction to the shots he had gotten that day. There was a huge lump at the injection site and he hurt to walk and wouldn't quit shaking. It was so sad! Luckily he slept it off and was back to his normal, crazy self by Sunday!

Sunday:

Sunday was "Faith in Action" day at our church. Instead of having a service, everyone split into 4 groups to do different community service projects for Downtown Memphis. There was a trash pick-up group, feeding the homeless group, Mud Island group, and Glenmary Retirement home group. Will & I went to the Glenmary because he was asked to speak/preach for their Sunday service. It was a lot of fun! The residents there are so great and love to have guests.

This pic made me laugh

Our small group usually meets on Sunday nights, but since it was "Faith in Action" Sunday, we didn't meet. We did however go to a different church to show some support to Sarah, a very talented artist in our small group who's art and creativity was being featured at this church. She did an amazing job!

Sarah finished a huge 8x4 painting during the service

Sarah started doing "Co-Creations" with groups. It's such a neat idea and was so cool to see how  each painting turns out with everyone working on it together!

After this we went back to Barrett and Michelle's to carve a pumpkin for Wednesday night's Fall Fest contest. I will show the finished product later this week. We had a blast Sunday night with B & M!

Have a great week!
