October Camping Trip

I am so behind on this post. All of our pics were on Will's phone so I just completely forgot about it. One weekend in October we went to Hardy, AR to go camping/fishing/antique shopping at the Spring River. I grew up camping a lot with my family so I've always loved it. I didn't start fishing IN the river until after Will and I got married. About a week before we left, Will and I were at home and the UPS truck pulls up. I just looked at him because I knew I hadn't ordered anything. He got so excited and practically ran to meet the delivery man at the curb. When he came back in, he opened the box...and low and behold there was a box of Women's Waders in there. Oh boy. He had bought me my own pair of fishing waders. I thought it was kind of funny. Will was so exited and it made him so happy that I could have my own waders now. Anyway, here's some photos from our weekend...

Early morning fishing

This was that awful time when I had DUMB poison ivy on my face so I was not too keen on photos!

My first time to ever witness a fish be cleaned. Yuck.

So beautiful

We had great weather and so much fun! I've loved having this tradition with my hubby. Now if we can just figure out a way to sneak the dogs in...

Sundrop Soulmates

Hope everyone had a great Halloween!

Last night we went to ICC's Fall Fest on the island. I helped with face painting. There were moon bounces, games and lots of food! We love our church and our community. We had a blast!

Weekend Recap

Hello, friends!
Happy Monday!
Hope you had a great Fall weekend! Here's a little recap of what went on with the Kassner's this weekend...

Friday night: We had some friends over for pizza and s'mores! Will built a little fire pit in our backyard and Friday night was perfect weather for a bonfire! Remi was so entertained by the fire and just kept trying to chomp the embers floating away.

Saturday morning we had a yard sale. My parents, grandparents, in-laws, and aunt all had junk to sell so we had a pretty good turnout. Another PERFECT weather day too! Ginger was enjoying the sunshine and managed to blend in to the yard sale items. No, she wasn't for sale. Although Will might tell you differently! Ha.

Remi was so well-behaved on Saturday!

Another event that was on Saturday that we HATED to miss was the Fast & Furriest 5K benefiting the Humane Society of Memphis and Shelby County. We had already planned the yard sale when we found out the date for the 5K. Bummer. I did find this photo on their website from the run last year!

Sunday was a great day at ICC! Stay tuned for a post on the recent happenings and blessings at Island Community Church!

Have a great week!

Me, Myself & I: October

This is officially my first EVER link up party! Yay!
I'm excited about starting these and meeting new bloggy friends.

I'm new to the blogging world and hope that you take a look around and Follow Me while you're here!
Without a doubt- Fall
I just love the changing leaves, cooler weather, bonfires, boots and sweaters.
What's not to love?!

This is from our camping trip to the Spring River last weekend. Will post more photos later!
I think I'm going to have to say it was a lot of moments over 5 summers (2001-2006) that changed my life. Does that count? For 5 years, every summer, I would go to Brazil with our church on mission trips. 3 years in a row I went to Rio de Janeiro, and then the 2 after that I went to Cuiba. Being able to go back year after year was amazing. I got to see my friends every year and to this day we have kept in touch. Thank goodness for social media! Meeting and becoming friends with everyone in Brazil was life-changing. I think of them often and dream of the day that I can go back...and take Will with me!
Cerulean!
I'm not really sure why. That was always my "go-to" color when choosing crayons as a kid.
Maybe it's also because I had no clue how to pronounce it until "The Devil Wears Prada."
If I could have a superpower, it would be to understand animals. Just think about it, how cool would that be? I'd be a modern day Dr. Dolittle mixed with the Dog Whisperer.
And this would be my sidekick...

Remi to the rescue!
1. H & M
2. Target, of course
3. Anthropologie
